A truly royal package, Virgin/EMI's Studio Collection delivers all 15 of the arena rock legends' studio albums in glorious, heavyweight, 180-gram multi-colored vinyl. Five years in the making, the records were sourced from the original master tapes, and in some cases, culled from superior sources than the remastered CD pressings were. Pop/rock behemoths of the 1970s and '80s, Queen is no stranger to the vinyl format, having released all but two of their LPs on the medium. Those two outings, Innuendo and Made in Heaven, appear here for the first time in their full form, spanning two LPs apiece. Rounding out this impressive box set is a lovingly detailed 108-page hardback book filled with the usual goodies (rare photos, snippets of handwritten lyrics, and other assorted bits of memorabilia).
