DESCRIPTION: The Clash- London Calling double  LP.  1st UK pressing with A1/B1/A2/B2 matrix and lyric inserts rather than the more common printed inner sleeves. "Train in Vain" not credited on side 4 label but track is included and referred to in dead-wax.  Postage costs include tracking and a box mailer. Packed this weighs over 500gm so overseas postage is as for a double. LABEL/CATALOGUE NUMBER: Clash 3: YEAR OF RELEASE: 1979. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK: CONDITION (VINYLS/COVER): VG/VG/VG+. Vinyls are both clean with a decent sheen and a good few light brushing lines and scuffs from sleeve insertion that prevent better visual grade.  Played passages of both sides of both discs this morning  on my budget deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent or very near. Music is vibrant, clear, clean and loud with just the odd tick in a couple of very quiet passages. Cover is in a little better than very good condition.  The single panel sleeve was not really designed to hold 2 discs so most are battered. This one is a definite exception.  It is firm and square and has only light to moderate edge wear , moderate corner wear and only light creasing. Decent shape to fully legible spine and much cleaner than usual rear of sleeve. Inserts are clean with only light wear, a couple of light foxing spots to one of them and a 1cm tear to one edge.  Clean labels- check out the photos.  No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears.  PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER PUNK/METAL/CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE. EACH EXTRA SINGLE DISC LP IS ROUGHLY £1.75 TO EUROPE, £2.75 TO THE AMERICAS AND £3.25 TO THE REST OF THE WORLD.
