In this auction is 1 original Beatles Picture Sleeve with 1 original Beatles Capitol orange-yellow swirl label 45 RPM record.

Here are the details:

AND I LOVE HER” b/w “IF I FELL” by The Beatles

This is a 7-INCH RECORD and PICTURE SLEEVE issued by CAPITOL RECORDS.

This is Capitol Records 5235.

This record and picture sleeve were issued July 20, 1964.

The RECORD in THIS AUCTION is THE FIRST PRESSING. We know this because on the labels the publisher is co-credited to Unart Music and Maclen Music. The vinyl does not have a factory-marking in the trail-off which indicates that this vinyl was pressed at Capitol Records’ Scranton plant.

The VINYL is in Nice VG CONDITION with light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs. The name “Bill” is written lightly in ballpoint on the A-side label where there is also a light tape/sticker stain.

The PICTURE SLEEVE is also in VG CONDITION with moderate overall wear. There is slight disc impression and very light partial ring wear. There is a small sticker stain on the “T” in “THE” and on the “S” in BEATLES” on the A-side of the picture sleeve. The name “Bill” is written lightly in blue ballpoint in the dark blue upper area of the B-side of the sleeve. THERE ARE NO SEAM SPLITS. There are a couple of very small tears at the top opening and one tiny staple hole. As you can see, the IMAGES OF THE BEATLES on both sides of the picture sleeve are still quite NICE and CLEAN with GREAT COLOR.

This is a STRAIGHT-CUT (EAST COAST) PICTURE SLEEVE.

This BLUE PICTURE SLEEVE has become a VERY DESIRABLE SLEEVE, because it has become a TOUGH SLEEVE TO FIND these days.

Thanks to the Price Guide for the Beatles American Records by Perry Cox and Frank Daniels for some information about this record and sleeve.
