Let's Be Natural is the A-side of this UK-only Rutles single, but the suits at UK Warner missed a bet by not putting Piggy In The Middle upfront. Natural is a striking Dear Prudence soundalike, but Piggy is a masterpiece, especially when songster Neil Innes (1944-2019) replaces John Lennon's nonsensical "goo goo ga-joob" with "do a poo-poo". Beatles fans who don't laugh out loud at this wonderful I Am The Walrus parody should check their pulse.
This 45 wasn't issued in the States; when the 1978 Rutles early-Fabs parody I Must Be In Love stiffed, U.S. Warner declined to issue any more of their singles. The world just wasn't ready for a brilliant parody of rock's reigning (though lamented) Kings. Remember, this was 6 years before This Is Spinal Tap would make such Johnfoolery popular.
