ITEMS ARE VISUALLY GRADED ONLY, DUE TO INVENTORY LEVEL.

My grading is GENERALLY conservative, as I do not want to misrepresent an item.  

As a result, the condition may be better than advertised in some cases.  We know grading is subjective in nature, but I make every honest attempt to err on the side of caution.

Please carefully review all provided photos for condition assessment.  

As the Goldmine Grading Scale is the industry standard, most of my visual inspections are based on these guidelines...some may be in line with Goldmine, some may vary as there are many interpretations of condition.  I try to take photos of each issue I find. I also try to list major, obvious flaws in the description section. Again, I try to be prudent. If you notice something conflicting, let me know!  This is an inexact science.

For example, a visually graded (VG, VG-) record in classical, jazz, spoken word, etc. will more than likely have surface noise in soft passages where the music is very soft or even reaches the point where there is silence.  It is impossible to determine to what degree this will have on the listening experience. Anything visually graded (G, G+) may have a considerable amount of surface noise as a result of groove wear, scratches, scuffs, etc., but SHOULD play through without skipping. 

Occasionally, due to age or storage conditions, items may emit a musty smell.  Unfortunately, the natural properties of paper do not react well to humidity and moisture.  Many seasoned collectors understand this notion...as it is a common condition that is sometimes unavoidable and irreversible.  Individuals who are new to the world of vinyl may see this as a conditional issue. Regrettably, sometimes this cannot be avoided.  It is yet another example of the complicated nature of assessing LP condition. 

As for inner sleeves, if the original sleeve is missing, I will provide a new replacement.

All LP's will be carefully packed and shipped in boxes specifically designed for this type of media.  I try to do what I can to mitigate shipping mishandling that periodically results in damage.
