This is the 12-song LP recorded in Singapore titled Ramlee and Saloma sing popular music of the Far East” on Capitol T10256. The matrix number on Side 1 is TX1- 10256 - D1 and the Side 2 matrix number is TX1- 10256 - D1 #2. There’s a Capitol logo below the title on the front cover, which includes a banner that reads ‘Capitol’ of the World and at the top right corner of the back cover is the same phrase in a logo-type box with the addition of A Series of Outstanding International Recordings.
The LP cover is wrapped in the opened shrink wrap, which has a small price sticker affixed at the top right corner of the shrink wrap. The shrink wrap appears to have shrunk over the years, as the spine to opening length is short by about 3/4” and the shrink wrap has separated at the bottom edge. The open shrink wrapped cover came in a clear plastic sleeve that is unlike any I’ve come across before and I’m unsure if it’s after market or originally came with the LP. It’s a bit oversized and kinda reminds me of the loose bags that LPs sometimes came in. The LP comes in the original Capitol “…a word about HIGH FIDELITY” inner sleeve.
The vinyl is in NEAR MINT condition and appear to be unplayed. My ceiling fan makes an appearance on the right side of the vinyl image and is not a condition issue. The open shrink wrapped cover has no writing on it and is in very good condition with 1.5” of total seam splitting at the four corners, the two right corners have small hard dings that caused the cover slick to crease and apparently those small portions of the cover slick felt off, there’s light tiny chips along the front cover opening and some light storage/ring wear. This is a RARE & COOL Ramlee & Saloma collectible, make sure you bid on this one today!!!
