LP #1:

“A HARD DAYS NIGHT ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUND TRACK” LP by The Beatles

This LP is United Artists UAL 3366.

This is a MONO (monaural) PRESSING.

This LP was originally issued June 26, 1964.

This is an EARLY FIRST PRESSING COVER, because the printing on the rear cover states that “all songs published by MACLEN Music, Inc. and UNART Music Corp. (BMI) except “This Boy” which is published by MACLEN Music Inc. (BMI)” (Early covers credit ONLY “This Boy” to Maclen Music. Later 1964-issued MONO covers credit BOTH “This Boy” and “I’ll Cry Instead” to Maclen Music.

The VINYL is a FIRST MONAURAL PRESSING. It has a black label with circles at the top and the error in the title “I’ll Cry Instead” which is printed as “I Cry Instead”.

The COVER and the LABELS have the error in the title “I’ll Cry Instead” which is printed as “I Cry Instead”.

The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION (not far from NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) CONDITION). Only some light wear on the corners and some very light glue aging at the top and side of the rear cover slick kept me from automatically grading the cover NM-.

As you can see in the images, the cover is still very nice with very minimal wear. The front is still bright red.

The VINYL is in VG CONDITION with numerous light surface hairlines/scuffs (none “feel-able”). The vinyl has lots of gloss.

This LP comes with its ORIGINAL UNITED ARTISTS PAPER INNER SLEEVE which is the CORRECT UA SLEEVE for this 1964 pressing.

This LP was originally issued June 26, 1964.

This is an EARLY FIRST PRESSING COVER, because the printing on the rear cover states that “all songs published by MACLEN Music, Inc. and UNART Music Corp. (BMI) except “This Boy” which is published by MACLEN Music Inc. (BMI)” (Early covers credit ONLY “This Boy” to Maclen Music. Later 1964-issued MONO covers credit BOTH “This Boy” and “I’ll Cry Instead” to Maclen Music.

The COVER is in NICE VG CONDITION. There is light to moderate overall wear as you can see in the images. There is also light to moderate wear on the corners. As you can also see in the images, the cover shows some aging/foxing particularly on the rear cover slick where there is also a very small and light stain near the opening.

The VINYL is in NICE VG CONDITION. There are a number of very light surface hairlines/scuffs. (None of them are “feel-able”.) The vinyl has lots of gloss.

This LP comes with its ORIGINAL UNITED ARTISTS PAPER INNER SLEEVE which is the CORRECT UA SLEEVE for this 1964 pressing.
