To preserve this cover in a truly immaculate condition, the original owner had to be have been very smart and KEEP the original, protective shrink wrap intact – OR, BETTER YET, KEEP IT SEALED! We are very thankful to the original owner of this album for wisely doing exactly that: keeping the original shrink wrap in place, keeping this delicate cover shielded from the harmful impact of the elements (such as partying, booze, grass joint butts or other, er… extracurricular activities) over the decades.

The irony to this album is that the group's music is funky as always, but its lyrical content has many gospel and religious overtones. Though the title track was not a featured release, its synth-propelled rhythm and stirring vocals blend well on this moderately uptempo number. The Top 20 single "Love" is arranged in a free-flowing, mellow tempo. It peaked at number 14 on the Billboard R&B charts. It was followed by the juiced-up funk track "Entrow." Supported by its unwavering beat, group members take turns on vocals and musical exhibitions. While "Save Me" has an aggressive disco groove, the lyric is religious as the title reflects. "I Got a Reason" and "Forever" have similar religious messages. With Larry Graham being the writer on every song on the album, it is highly likely that he was experiencing a transformation in his personal and professional life.

(c)             The record is apparently pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

 

(d)          The record is believed to come in its  original stock inner sleeve.

 

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

-        Cover has a small cutout saw-mark (an indent about 2-3 mm long ) on one of its seams.

 

-         Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 2  (front side) and 1 (back side).  [only visible on the 'mirror' panel]

 

-        Cover has a light "wrinkle" (crease)  in one of the corners.  (VISIBLE ON FRONT SIDE ONLY)

 

-        Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine (nothing significant)
