LIFEBLUD 'Esse Quam Videri' LP (UK, Seelie Court, Catalogue #SCLP006) Brand new/unplayed copy of limited year 2020 Seelie Court  label LP edition of BEYOND RARE 1970 Acetate (a grand total of 3 copies created) of UK Folk driven Progressive Rock recordings, entitled here Esse Quam Videri, by Lifeblud. This Seelie Court edition includes a gatefold cover with interior liner notes and photos.

Mission statement from the Seelie Court label:

"British acetate and private pressing LPs dating from 1965-78, the most valuable LPs that exist, manufactured in Sainted Albion on the legendary EMI presses where all the original Beatles LPs were pressed. We use as many environmental principles as possible, eg no shrinkwrap. Textured gatefold sleeves. All have restored audio striking a balance between cleaning up often unique yet battered original recordings and retaining the power and authenticity of the original sounds without heavy compression. Restoration by Reynolds, at craftsman level. Priced as competitively as possible to allow street level access to thousand pound prog behemoths."

(NOTE: ALL RECORDS ARE PACKED AND SHIPPED IN PROFESSIONAL, SUPERIOR QUALITY RECTANGULAR SHAPED, CORNER PROTECTING CORRUGATED CARDBOARD RECORD MAILERS WITH FILLER PADS. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED!)

“Ultra-rare £3000+ serene folk inflected progressive rock. Cherry Red used one song from a poor condition acetate on a recent compilation. Three acetate copies were made in 1970, and Seelie Court used the only surviving near mint LP that's owned by an ex-member as source with great audio. The songs 'Oakenshade' and 'Waxing Of The Moon' are poetic genius, using a guitar with a damaged bridge to create a sitar like drone, the vocals have an air of resigned melancholia, and the lyrics connect with a mystical understanding of and reverence for nature. Issued with the full cooperation of all the band. Lifeblud later explored a heavier sound that sometimes hits the level of High Tide. Housed in a gatefold sleeve with band history, reproducing the original typed lyric sheets, and repro of the acetate labels.”
Here’s a glowing Discogs review: “Lifeblud was conceived as a 'poetry rock' band and recorded this fab acetate lp in 1970, the vocal is serene and melancholic, and the music folky prog, the lyrics are about the majesty of nature and often speak of environmental issues, one line describing mankind as a fungus spreading across the planet. what sounds like a sitar is a guitar with a damaged bridge that created an accidental drone which they use to great effect. 3 copies of the acetate were made at trusound, later sky, later srt. 2 survive, one with hans pokora in trashed condition, the ither in australia. its thusly phenomenally rare. highlights here are oakenshade, ravens wing and the astonishingly beautiful "waxing of the moon" , one of the deepest, moodiest and most evocative tracks of the era. lifeblud recorded a 2nd acetate lp in 1970 also at trusound, but its been lost. luckily studio tapes of 1971 sessions survive and will be released in 2021, capturing some of their finest songs, and the one surviving track from their heaviest phase, an extended folk rock song awash with high tide like fuzz and distortion.  a live tape recorded on a hand held tape recorder from the back of a hall in 1971 also exists and is being painstakingly restored for possible release. an exceptionally beautiful band who have remained unreleased for half a century. but hard to define, coming from an incredible string band, donovan, dando shaft direction but with a prog rock feel."

A1 Of Hatred's Hand
A2 The Journey Home
A3 Tenement
A4 Eclipse
A5 Oakenshade
B1 So Be It
B2 Rescue

HOW WE SHIP RECORDS (AND OTHER ITEMS) TO YOU:

With the exception of a few odd-sized items, ALL LPs are packaged for shipment and sent to you in PROFESSIONAL QUALITY, SUPERIOR RECTANGULAR SHAPED, CORNER-PROTECTING CORRUGATED CARDBOARD RECORD MAILERS WITH FILLER PADS. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED!

We are record collectors here, too, and we pledge to package your records (or any other item) in a way in which we would like to have records/other items packaged, sent to us and received by us as well.

When packaging up records that are non-factory sealed items (as is standard for many import releases) or are open "used" items for shipment, we remove the LP and inner-sleeve from the album cover and place them on the outside of the cover to protect the cover from being subjected to any potential seam-splitting during transit.

When packaging up factory sealed records for shipment, we leave the item sealed, intact, as is. HOWEVER. If a customer REQUESTS that we unseal a factory sealed record to send with the LP and inner sleeve on the outside of the cover (to protect the cover from being subjected to any potential seam-splitting during transit) we will do so. Please be sure to specifically make this request of unsealing your record for shipment if that is your packaging preference.

When packaging up non-factory sealed items (or factory sealed items that have been unsealed at the buyer's request) that have custom company or other manner of printed inner-sleeves, we remove the record from those printed inner sleeves (returning the printed inner sleeves back into the album cover) and place them inside brand new, generic white paper inner sleeves, which are then placed on the outside of the album cover to protect both the album cover AND the original printed inner sleeves from being subjected to any potential seam splitting during transit. We do this for all new AND used items that are in our stock.

All LPs, be they new or used, are sheathed inside of new, protective plastic outer sleeves (with the exceptions of space or weight limitations that may occur with packaging your items - such exceptions will take place when they allow for a lower cost of shipping charged for your total order.)

We go the extra mile to protect and preserve your items, folks!

With but a few exceptions (odd size combined orders or other package configurations and considerations...)

All 12" records are sent to you packaged in quality 15" x 1" x 13" rectangular shaped corrugated cardboard LP mailers.

All 10" records are sent to you packaged in quality 13" x 1" x 13" square shaped corrugated cardboard LP mailers.

All 7" records are sent to you packaged in quality 8" x 1" x 8" square shaped corrugated cardboard 7" record mailers.

All Compact Discs are sent to you packaged in quality 7" x 1" x 5" rectangular shaped cardboard CD mailers.

All Cassettes are sent to you packaged in quality 5 1/2" x 1" x 3" rectangular shaped cardboard Cassette mailers

(Note: Cassettes sent to international addresses will be packaged in a larger box of some appropriate size configuration to accommodate the size and application of mailing/customs labels sent to international addresses.)

All Cassettes and CDs or records that come packaged in odd-sized or odd-custom packaging are sent to you in quality corrugated cardboard boxes of various unspecified dimensions, with various sorts of interior paddings (styrofoam peanuts, bubble wrap, cardboard filler pads, etc.) to protect and preserve your items.
