Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers on Impulse! Stereo A-7 with a gatefold cover and has Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Timmons and Jymie Merritt as the band. The LP is a gatefold cover LP from 1961 and is the priginal stereo pressing. The LP is VG+, although it has 2 small eraser like surface marks that don't affect play in any way. This is a collectible LP as Blakey broke away from Blue Note in protest in late 1961 and recorded 3 LP's, 2 for Impulse and this is one of them, before he returned to make Three Blind Mice and then he also made 2 for Prestige before settling permanently with Blue Note once again. Lee Morgan and Boby Timmons great here. Gatefold cover LP, again, a few very light eraser like surface marks but a VG+ LP otherwise. Original pressing.
