An original vintage 1982 vinyl, LP, album copy of Billy Idol by Billy Idol (1982), Chrysalis Records, Catalog# FV 41377. Everything is in EX (Excellent) condition: LP jacket, inner sleeve, and LP record. I found this album and 32 others in a cardboard box in my parents' house in late October this year when we were cleaning it out. This belonged to my brother-in-law who passed away from throat cancer in May this year. About Billy Idol: This is the debut studio album by English rock singer Billy Idol released on July 16 1982. 

After the breakup of the band Generation X, and the release of his first solo extended play Don't Stop (1981) Billy Idol started working on his debut studio album. 

This is a rock album that has heavy influences in new wave music. The album peaked at number 15 on the US Billboard Rock Albums Chart and it was certified Gold for selling 500,000 copies in the United States by the RIAA. 

Three singles were released: "Dancing With Myself" (originally a Generation X song), "White Wedding" and "Hot in the City".
