The second album and a true classic it is! Pentagruel's Nativity is a diamond of a track!
The heavy vinyl with high groovewalls provides a fantastic audio experience with channelling not equalled by the later CD version. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing Rotel amp and B&W three way speakers!!! A beautiful CLASSIC with supreme songcraft, a joy to listen to!!!!
Vinyl: EX. I'm very happy to be able to present this gem in this great condition. Only lightly played . The audio is simply sublime played on my Technics deck with Linn Sondek cartridge and through my rotel amp and B&W speakers. This really heavy vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic album that went largely unnoticed at the time. There are no marks or hairlines. There are some paper retraction traces only visible under a strong light but otherwise this vinyl is a beautiful EX. Great replay on my premium sound system without any skips or jumps.The labels still retain their beautiful original appearance.
Gatefold Sleeve: VG+. INCREDIBLE! A fantastic looked after matt textured gatefold . This is only downgraded to VG+ because of a bottom sticker tear. The sleeve is beautifully coloured on the outside AND the inside! It sits completely flat and this album has a nice sturdy structure with absolutely stunning artwork. Lovely colours and not any creases or stickers. Incredibly, barely any wear on the edges and spine, the opening is super crisp as on day one of its existence (now 52 years old). The inside gatefold is mint. Beautiful classic prog album.
This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
