I wanted the opportunity to put into words W the many things I thought deserved to be said about one of the finest humans it has everV been my privilege to know. I knew Squire would never say them! I thought it would be an easy1 thing to do. However, as I sit here reflecting back over the years I have known this great man, I find the words hard to come by. It's impossible to express the deep feeling myself and all the Kingsmen feel toward this great man of God. Mere words could never say a minimal part of what should be said. I guess I'll just have to admit the inadequacy of my vocabulary and say God knows, and Squire knows, what I would like to say. Thanks Squire, for living a life that has shown many people that God still calls men to be leaders and an inspiration to all around them. The musical depth as well as the spiritual depth of this alum didn't surprise me. I've grown to expect it from Squire. The songs, written and sung by Squire, are nothing short of a spiritual blessing even though they are eminating from the cold wax of this record. I challenge you to listen to "Beulah Land" and not receive that special little tug that all Christians feel when the Holy Spirit is working in their midst. From this, just let your needle go on to the next number You'll find it there, too. The strings are great, the brass is fine, the back-up voices are superb. But if you’re like me, you may not hear them for the presence of the best baritone voice that has ever graced the stage anywhere Squire, I know you wouldn't want me to use words like great, sensational, fantastic, the best, or anything like that when refering to you so I won’t, even though they are all true. I'll just say, here is the first album from a dedicated man of God, one that deserves to be played over and over again, from a man I am privileged and honored to call my friend, Squire Parsons.
