THE BEATLES - SGT PEPPER

OUTSTANDING NEAR MINT AUDIO

NEAR MINT 'WIDESPINE' MINT  SLEEVE

THE RECORD

THE LABELS

ORIGINAL YELLOW AND BLACK MONO LABELS IN SUPERB CONDITION. THE BLACK BASE COLOUR AND YELLOW LOGO'S ARE BOTH UNRUBBED . THE SILVER TEXT IS ALSO IN PERFECTLY LEGIBLE CONDITION, AND THE SPINDLE HOLE IS UNWORN. I CAN ONLY SEE A FEW MINUSCULE SPIDER LINES.

THE VINYL

REALLY REALLY GLOSSY LP THAT LOOKS FANTASTIC. THERE ARE NO MARKS TO BE SEEN ON THE SURFACE IN DAYLIGHT. WHERE IS LOOKS AS GOOD AS YOU COULD EVER WANT

VIEWED UNDER SPOTLIGHTS THERE ARE A FEW SMALL WISPY HAIRLINES

THERE ARE ALSO FOUR LONGER SKATE / HANDLING LINES ONE ON SIDE ONE AND THREE ON SIDE TWO. I HAVE TRIED TO SHOW THESE IN THE PICTURES, WHERE YOU CAN SEE THEM BUT THEY ARE VERY FEINT. WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE PRESENT. THEY DO NOT AFFECT THE AUDIO PERFORMANCE. SO WHAT EVER CAUSED THEM BEI IT A STYLUS OF FINGERNAIL WAS EXTREMELY LIGHLY BRUSHED ON THE SURFACE

THE TEST PLAY

INCREDIBLE STEREO REPRODUCTION

WHAT I HAVE FOUND OVER THE YEARS IS THAT A HUGE PERCENTAGE OF BEATLES ALBUMS WERE PLAYED WITH A STYLUS THAT WAS EITHER WORN OR TOO HEAVY RESULTING IN DISTORTION TO THE SOUND, USUALLY WHEN I AM LISTENING TO THEM THERE IS AN IRRITATING NOISE COMING FROM ONE SPEAKER ONLY WHERE THE STYLUS HAS WORN ONE SIDE OF THE GROOVE. WELL THIS ONE HAS NO SUCH PROBLEM AND PLAYS WITHOUT ANY DISTORTION TO THE SOUND WHATSOEVER

THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT A STEREO PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC ALBUM IS NOTHING SHORT OF SUPERB!! PRESSED LOUDLY EACH NOTE IS HEARD EXACTLY THE WAY IT WAS INTENDED

SO DESPITE THE SURFACE HANDLING LINES I MENTIONED ABOVE, THISTHE ALBUM PLAYS WITHOUT ANY  ISSUES WHATSOEVER. A CRYSTAL CLEAR AND CLEAN RECORDING THAT PLAYS WITHOUT CLICKS, AND ANY BACKGROUND CRACKLE WHATSOEVER

NO VINYL EMBEDDED VINYL NOISE AND THE LINKING GROOVES ARE EITHER SILENT OF VERY NEAR SILENT

DURING THE ENTIRE PLAYTHROUGH I HEARD NO MORE THAN 2-3 OF THE TINIEST LITTLE STATIC TICS

SO TAKE A LISTEN TO THE AUDIO RECORDINGS AT THE TOP AND YOU CAN JUDGE IT FOR YOURSELF

THE AUDIO PERFORMANCE HAS TO GRADE NEAR MINT FOR ME

THE SLEEVE

THE RARER WIDESPINE SLEEVE

FULLY LAMINATED GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE SLEEVE. THE FRONT SURFACE IS FLAT AND CLEAN AND HAS NO HEAVY CREASES OR CREASELINES, AND NO BENDS ETC.

THE LAMINATE GLEAMS LIKE A POLISHED MIRROR AND THERE IS NO LIFT, PEEL OR FLAKE

THERE ARE FOUR PRESSURE LINES BY THE SPINE. TWO VERY TINY ONES ON THE TOP EDGE. HALF A DOZEN ON THE BOTTOM EDGE WITH ONE LONGER ONE RUNNING UPWARDS OVER THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER. THERE ARE TWO SMALL THUMB LINES NEAR THE OPEWNING EDGE

THE TOP LEFT CORNER HAS A TINY BIT OF RUB, AND THE OTHER THREE JUST A PIN PRICK OF RUB

THE TOP AND BOTTOM EDGES ARE TOTALLY FREE FROM ANY SHELF WEAR WHATSOEVER, WITH ALL OF THE LAMINATE RUNNING FROM CORNER TO CORNER. ONLY THE RIGHT TIP ENDS HAVE A DOT OF RUB

THE SPINE IS TOTALLY FLAT AND UNSQUASHED, AND ALL OF THE LAMINATE IS PERFECT APART FROM ONE OF THE FRONT PRESSURE LINES RUNNING OVER THE SPINE. A SPECK OF RUB TO THE ENDS

THE OPENING EDGE IHAS SOME MILD FEATHERING

OPENING THE GATEFOLD, REVEALS THE 'CREAK' YOU GET WITH THIS SLEEVE. THE YELLOW SURFACE GLEAMS BEAUTIFULLY ON BOTH SIDES

THE REAR SURFACE ALSO SHINES AND HAS A HEALTHY GLOSS. A VERY LIGHT SHADOW OF RECORD SHAPE WHEN ANGLED INTO THE LIGHT. SOME SMALL PRESSURE LINES ON THE EDGES , AND A MINUSCULE WHITE SCUFF IN THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER

THE RED AND WHITE INNER SLEEVE IS FLAT,  NO SPLITS TO ANY OF THE SEAMS . A COUPLE OF VERY TINY BROWN MARKS AND A SMALL CHIP TO THE OPENING EDGE

THE CUT OUT SHEET IS IN PRISTINE CONDITION, HAVING NEVER BEEN OUT OF THE COVER MORE THAN ONCE OR TWICE

I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO GRADE THIS SLEEVE EX+

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BID IF YOU CHOSE TO GO FOR IT
