Codeine When I See the Sun Boxset Vinyl Rare 6LP+3CD Sub Pop Numero Group Mogwai.
Rare boxset that was issued with the support of the band(Condition noted below)
Recommended to fans of Red House Painters,Low,& the general underground independent guitar/noise rock of the 80's/90's.
Originally signed to Sub Pop.
The band Mogwai has on record said that compared to other bands of which critics have compared them to they consider Codeine to be one of their biggest influences,and even were instrumental in orchestrating a short reunion after inviting them to play an All Tomorrow's Parties festival curated by them.
It consists of all three of their original records Frigid Stars,Barely Legal,and The White Birch.
Each record contains two LPs the orginal album on one vinyl and a second vinyl has various bsides,acoustic versions,demos,the odd cover such as Joy Division's Atmosphere,an odd live recording,Peel Sessions.
Each record also contains an accompanying CD of the same content that is stored in an insert pouch on each record.
The LPs are fitted inside a hard case.
The case has some shelf wear from sitting & from occasionally being moved throughout the years.
No tearing or loose feeling to the outer case.
It is still compact & if looked at closely has only the occasional ding to it.
The LPs/CD'S are in pristine condition & have never been listened to.
No damage to the sleeves,discs,or vinyls with the exception of one of the LP's has a small scrape on the spine (see last picture)
Winning this potentially for the initial bidding price is a steal.
There is a listing for only one of the LP'S Frigid Stars for $130 alone.
As there are more recent reissues of these records they do not come with the impressive amount of bonus materials or the exterior case and are still fairly pricey.
