"Stereo Sound Reference Records" that we have been selling since the early 1990s. ``Vol.10 Deutsche Grammophon Best Recordings - Composition and Commentary by Keizo Yamanaka'', which is particularly popular in the category that is now called the Critics Series, will finally be released as an analog LP. This work was created in the early 1990s, when Keizo Yamanaka recorded songs with excellent sound quality from Deutsche Grammophon's cutting-edge digital recordings, with the aim of determining the playback environment for audio files. This is a compilation of selected and composed songs. While inheriting analog recording techniques, many of the songs were recorded and produced using the latest digital recording equipment of the time, delivering a colorful sound even when played on modern audio systems.
This work was selected and composed by Mr. Keizo Yamanaka, who knows everything about classical music and audio equipment.Of course, you can enjoy listening to each song individually, but the composition of the album as a whole is well thought out. is noteworthy. While unraveling the characteristics of recordings made by the Deutsche Grammophon label, this commentary also touches on the highlights and difficulties of audio playback, and will be of great use as an audio guide. If the songs recorded on these albums can be played smoothly and in a well-balanced manner on audio equipment, you will definitely be able to enjoy listening to classical music in any arrangement.
The significance of this work is that the critic, who has experienced the changes in analog recording in classical music in real time, selected digitally recorded songs. Naturally, as a professional listener, Keizo Yamanaka has witnessed the digital recording of classical music since its inception.
The analog LP delivered here is a 2-disc set of 180 grams. The cutting is done by Nippon Columbia engineer Shigeru Takezawa, who is well-known for our "Analog Record Collection" series. The binding of the double-page spread jacket is common to the series, and was created with careful consideration to its physical presence. This series, selected by a critic who is an expert in record playback, remains a reference for analog playback.
