“Joan Jett and the Blackhearts - Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth” is the fourth studio album by Joan Jett and the third with her backing band, The Blackhearts. Released in 1984 and reissued in 1998 with additional tracks, the album’s title was inspired by a line from an episode of “The Honeymooners.” This album, catalogued as RCA R-163731, showcases Jett’s rock and roll style, featuring a mix of original songs and covers. The album includes well-known tracks like “Cherry Bomb” (a cover of The Runaways song), “I Love You Love Me Love” (a Gary Glitter cover), and “I Need Someone.” “I Love You Love Me Love” and “I Need Someone” were released as singles, with “I Love You Love Me Love” also available in a 7-inch format. The Venezuelan edition of the album, titled “I Need Someone,” includes Spanish versions of some tracks. The band line-up for this album included Joan Jett on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Ricky Byrd on lead guitar and backing vocals, Gary Ryan on bass and backing vocals, and Lee Crystal on drums and backing vocals. The album also featured guest musicians and was produced by Kenny Laguna, among others.
