The Tibbs' newest breakout single, 'Ain't It Funny', appears in full dialectic glory aside 'Give Me A Reason' on 7", both of which appear on the nine-piece retro soul group's new album of similar, expanded delights; Keep It To Yourself, which is set to be released early in 2024. Paradoxically, the Tibbs are certainly not keeping anything to themselves, here producing two Netherlands-incubated emulations of a classic American sound. 'Ain't It Funny' is an uptempo mover in brass technicolour, a sonic lyrical expression of the old idiom, "carpe diem"; 'Give Me A Reason' is the well-produced jive and rejoinder in six-eight, concerning forensic proofs of love and waning desires.
