Horace Silver and The Jazz Messengers Blue Note 1518 MONO 767 Lexington Avenue RVG and EAR stamped pressing. Here is the deal: Someone who previously owned this wonderful LP tried to clean Side 1, probably with rubbing alcohol and somehow left a Mercury/Emarcy Records type haze that makes the side play with some surface noise. Side 2 is fine and VG+, so I am selling this as is and cannot be returned for any reason. Flat edge, deep groove original pressing from 1955 with Art Blakey, Hank Mobley, Doug Watkins and leader Horace Silver. Shortly after this LP was made, Silver would leave due to heavy drug use within the band and took Doug Watkins with him and started a new band along with Donald Byrd that produced Silver's Blue. If you can deal with the surface noise on Side 1, this is a nice LP flat edge, deep groove RVG and ear pressing. VG+ cover. overall condition will be listed as VG- due to Side 1.
