This a RARE 1st pressing of The Beatles first single on Parlophone
This is the version of the song which was recorded on Tuesday 4th September 1962 at Abbey Road Studios.  This version features Ringo Starr on drums and does not contain any tambourine playing. It can also be identified by the presence of the matrix number 7XCE 17144-1N in the runout. In recent years there have been some reissues that have also included this version.

There is another version of the song recorded on Tuesday 11th September 1962 at Abbey Road Studios. That version features an uncredited Andy White on drums with Ringo Starr playing tambourine.
The main differentiator between this version of the red label issue, compared to the other original 1962 versions, is the absence of the 'MADE IN GT. BRITAIN' text under the Parlophone logo on the label.
A ZT tax code stamped in the runout indicates a pressing made before November 1962 when the code changed to PT.
This vinyl grades GOOD+ or VG- it has a build up of surface scratches and scuffs. However, it plays through without sticking, skipping or jumping. There is some crackling throughout and some 'pops' at the start, but none of this over powers the music which comes through loud and clear. It's still a great listen!

A side label has writing (see photos)
Comes in an original company sleeve
