This vintage record by Herb Albert & The Tijuana Brass titled "Whipped Cream And Other Delights" is a must-have for any music collector. The 1965 release on the A&M Records label has catalog number SP 4110 and features easy listening, jazz, and Latin genres with a brass style. The 12" black vinyl STEREO record spins at 33 RPM and comes in a cardboard sleeve case type with an iconic Cheese Cake cover photo!
The vinyl disc grading is very good plus (VG+) and the dead wax vinyl matrix number markings show as: T o SP-119 1A / o SP-120 1A and the record format is a stereo type. The LP cover is also graded VG+, and while the original paper inner liner is missing a new high quality liner has been added to better protect the vinyl. From Wikipedia... Whipped Cream & Other Delights is a 1965 by , called "Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass" for this album, released on . It is the band's fourth full album and arguably their most popular release.
This album saw the band nearly abandoning its Mexican-themed music, featuring mostly instrumental arrangements of popular songs, and also generating some major pop hits for the first time since "". One "tradition" of the early Brass was to include a number rendered in "strip-tease" fashion, and this album's entry for that style was "Love Potion No. 9"
I listened to both sides of this LP completely through playing on my audio-technica AT-LP60XBT turntable without issues. This record plays well and sounds great! The VG+ rating is applied here as there is some surface noise and intermittent light ticks or pops. Still it is a very enjoyable listen overall.
