This is a rare and collectible item for all the fans of Rankin/Bass and The Hobbit soundtrack. This box set includes two 12" black vinyl records and a storybook, all in their original cardboard sleeve. The records have a speed of 33 RPM and are in the style of 1970s soundtracks and musicals.
The vinyl records are in very good plus (VG+) condition, as well as the inlay and sleeve, which are graded as good plus (G+). The set was released in 1977 by Vista record label and was manufactured in the United States. This box set is one of the best preserved examples, with no signs of use besides minimal cover damage from shipping when new. Records appear to never have been removed from sleeves, and zero marks, fading or creasing on the book. Original price tag 100% intact, which was $8.72 which is approximately $43 in 2024 adjusted for inflation.
