This vinyl LP titled "In New York" features the iconic jazz music of The Cannonball Adderley Sextet, recorded in New York City in 1962.  Released by Riverside records with catalog number RLP 9404 this live recording showcases the the bebop style and improvisational melodies of the group.
The cardboard LP cover sleeve is graded Very Good Plus (VG+) and the vinyl disc has some scratches and mars giving ot a Good (G) grading.  Please see the detailed photos included in this listing.  This copy has the Riverside black and silver deep groove stereo labels.  The original inner sleeve is missing so I substituted a high quality new liner to protect the vinyl from further damage.

The  review by Richard S. Ginell awarded the album 4 stars, noting: "This was the recording debut of the Adderley Sextet, with Cannonball waxing eloquently and swingingly on alto, brother Nat charging ahead on cornet, and the versatile Yusef Lateef (who had joined the band only three weeks earlier) adding a bit of an edge on tenor, flute, and unusually for a jazz wind player, oboe on the odd, dirge-like 'Syn-Anthesia'. There is plenty of talk from Cannonball as well... This group would be Zawinul's springboard to prominence in the jazz world — and already his compulsively funky mastery of bop and the blues has fused tightly with the Sam Jones/Louis Hayes rhythm section."   awarded the album 2½ stars, stating: "'Bringing in Joe Zawinul and Yusef Lateef energised the band anew."  When reissued in 2008,  called the album "perhaps the single most indispensable recording by the Adderley Brothers."

I played both sides of this LP completely through on my audio-technica AT-LP60XBT turntable without issues. It sounds great as background music as if you were sitting in a 60's jazz club...
There is some minor intermittent background crackle and a couple of ticks or pops here and there but it plays through and there’s nothing significant on the whole LP to overwhelm enjoyment of the music.
