VAN HALEN 2010 1984 Set Of 3 12" Metal Acetates Of 180g Vinyl LP Bernie Grundman

 

 

 

Van Halen - 1984 (Rhino)

 2010 original set of three one-sided 12" metal acetates of LP originally issued in 1984, but this was used to press the 2010 180-gram reissue by Rhino in the US.

Bernie Grundman Mastering labels on all three playable sides have date of production, artist, title, record label, and side number printed. The acetates are packaged in two plain white covers with Bernie Grundman Mastering labels affixed on front. Yellowing from age on covers.

The reason there are three acetates in this set isn't very clear. There are two cuts of Side one, one of which was cut on September 13th, 2010 and one of which was cut on September 15th. The acetate of side two was cut on September 15th, which would imply something wasn't right with the original side one acetate and it needed to be re-cut. 

Authentic acetates are extremely rare, usually made in single-digit numbers. Light marks on discs but they play excellent.
