LOTS OF GREAT ~ RARE BLUES LPs THIS WEEK! Raw Chess Blues Classic ~ Deep Groove True Stereo pressing with 1A in the deadwax! This is the third - and final - of Hooker's classic Chess albums. Also, this is the only of about 7 REAL FOLK BLUES volumes (Muddy Waters, Howlin` Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, etc.). This particular album is UNIQUE among other Chess titles in the Chess' "Real Folk Blues" series of 1965/66 in three distinct ways: firstly, this one is NOT a compilation, but a regular, proper studio album (other titles in this series, by Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and Sonny Boy Williamson are all compilations); secondly, this is the only album in the series to be recorded and released in TRUE stereo (do not believe record guides which tell you otherwise); finally, this is the only title in the series that does NOT have a sequel: there is NO "More Real Folk Blues" by John Lee Hooker. This is his only "Real Folk Blues" title released in this series.
