These used records come to you un-played and I do my best at being accurate in grading. I just don't have the time to listen test every record, but I grade lower than the condition really is. So you get a better deal for your money. Your new found treasure has been cleaned but it should be cleaned and made static free by you also to achieve optimum sound quality.

Jacket Condition: VG++, slight ring wear

Record Condition: VG++ to N/M

Skips and dull sound quality is sometimes caused by dust build up in the grooves or on the stylus or even static buildup (use a record mat) on the record which will help immensely. Bare in mind Vinyl records are at least 30 years old or more and they will never be made again so Treasure your new found purchase. Variables that come into play, 1. Have you cleaned your record lately? 2. Does the record have static build up? 3. How worn is your stylus or have you cleaned it lately​ 4. How old is your cartridge and needle​? 5. How many grams of pressure is set on your stylus (should be 1 gram)?, just to name a few. We offer a 14 day return policy on everything we sell.

Record Grading Standard:

Sealed and New: Still has Factory seal, a record never opened.

NM: May have a few superficial signs of use. A record that was cared for.

VG++: Almost near mint but it might have a few more superficial signs of use and slight sleeve scuffing that does not affect play. A record that was well cared for. Cover should show very little shelf wear.

VG+: Some light signs of wear and may have slight sleeve scuffing or light scratches that does not affect play, may have a little surface noise in spots but the majority of the record will be quiet. It is still a record that was cared for. Cover will show signs of shelf and ring wear. May have a small split or two but general integrity is strong,

VG: Surface noise will be noticeable especially in the quiet areas, but will not overpower the music, more noticeable scuffs and light scratches. Cover will show ring wear and shelf wear.

VG-: Vinyl will play but may have surface noise on some tracts, signs of heavy use or wear. Note, I rarely sell this unless it is a real treasure and hard to find album that collectors look for to add to their collection until a higher grade record comes around. Cover will have heavy shelf wear and heavy ring wear.
