I went to see Cannibal Corpse a couple of years ago and they were shite. I didn't know much beyond the Chris Barnes years cos that's when I stopped listening to them and I'm kinda glad I did. They're just like some sort of beefy fat-neck wrestling band these days or something, pure crap. A long way away from this grotty classic anyway! The standard set by their debut materpiece is surpassed here: pretty much everything is BIGGER: better production, better playing, more brutal vocals, excellent metal militia riffs. In many ways this is the archetypal death metal album. I asked for a Butchered At Birth tshirt for my Christas when I was 14 and my mum got me a Bleeding one, still pretty cool but. Never had a girlfriend at school. Meat Hook Sodomy!
