One of the earliest Swedish death metal bands, these guys only ever officially issued one 7" (the titular "Tide" EP) along with a few classic demos.  The 7" material is excellent but it's those demos that are really the meat of this release: 1989's "The Matter Of Splatter" is youthful early primitive death metal at its best and 1991's "Forever To Be Vanished There In" is THE absolute classic raw Swedish sound right there!  Comes in a really nice reverse board sleeve with extensive liner notes and poster.  Highly recommended.  Lim 200 on black vinyl.

The Crypt is proud to announce the complete discography from Sweden's ABHOTH featuring ex members of UTUMNO, GOD MACABRE and AFFLICTED. 

Abhoth were one of the first death metal bands in Sweden and formed in the town of Västerås in 1988 under the name Morbid Salvation Army. The original line-up included vocalist Joakim Bröms who left in 1990 to join Afflicted (ex-Afflicted Convulsion). 

This 2 LP set features The Matter of Splatter - Demo 1989, Forever to be Vanished There In - Demo 1991, The Tide - EP 1992, Divine Orphan - Demo 1994 and unreleased demo / rehearsal tracks from 1990-91. 

Strictly limited to a one-time only pressing of 500 hand-numbered copies, these classic tracks are spread over 2 x 180 gram heavy vinyl LPs: - 200 of which will be black vinyl. 

Both LPs come in a 350 gram sturdy, reverseboard printed gatefold jacket, complete with the original classic "The Tide" cover illustration by Paw Nielsen, rare band photos, cult interviews and new extensive liner notes by Jonas Stålhammar and Jörgen Kristensen. 

We have also included a huge, 24" x 24" (60.96 cm x 60.96 cm) poster of the Paw Nielsen "The Tide" cover artwork.
