SLEEP TIGHT
What a great little teener this is! It’s almost like having a Texas version of the Fleetwoods. Johnny Starr sings “Sleep Tight” and “There’ll Be An Angel.” He is ably backed by the McAfees, which is probably a vocal group led by Royce McAfee. The topside is sung by Johnny but the flip is the McAfees only – which is a girl group sound. This is quite a rare little record and is never found in like new condition.
This record seems to be part of the LeCam Records discography, with the publishing being LeBill Music, and the mailing address the same, but it also seems to be the only record on the C&B label. It’s from July of 1962 (when I found it the sleeve was dated by the record store stock clerk)
