Muddy Waters At Newport 1960 (Chess LP 1449) - electronically altered to simulate stereo
Stone cold classic Muddy Waters album, captured live at the Newport Jazz Festival, 3 July 1960, following a riot the day before which saw 10,000 try to storm the gates to get in to a capacity festival.
Cooking band includes James Cotton (harmonica), Otis Spann (piano) and Tat Harris (guitar).
Hugely collectable blues LP and very rare to find in such excellent condition.
As indicated, vinyl is in Excellent condition and plays superbly. Labels are Excellent. Inner sleeve is VG++ with crinkling at one corner.
Sleeve has been clipped bottom left (see photos) and has the residue of a price label top right but otherwise is in Excellent order with only minor edge and corner wear. Overall, grades VG++
VERY hard to find, this is a nice collectable LP for blues fans. Any questions do contact me - I'm also happy to send further photos.
