Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.

This is an auction for: Johnny Hodges & His Orchestra – Blues A-Plenty – RARE Original Vinyl LP album from 1960.

Original His Masters Voice pressing.

First pressing: 1S, 1S matrixes.

Front Laminated Flipback sleeve.

Vinyl Condition: EX (A few minor marks but is in lovely shiny condition for its age. Great playback. A joy to listen to such a RARE and fabulous Jazz record).

Inner Sleeve Condition: G (Inner sleeve has some yellowing. I am not sure it is the original though).

Outer Sleeve Condition: VG (Some scuffing & a small tear to the top left corner. There is a name written in small writing on the back. A small patch of the flipback sleeve has torn off but has no effect on the structure. Sleeve is really in great shape for its age. Will be hard to find much better as it is so rare and almost never turns up on ebay).

I grade my vinyl’s as follows:

M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.

Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.

VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.

G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.

If you would like further information on sleeve or record condition then please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Please note: Due to the large amount of CD’s and records that I am selling, I don’t have time to include the track listings. If the track listing is important to you then please email me and I will send you the track list.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR POSTAGE ADDRESS IS UP TO DATE AND CORRECT BEFORE BIDDING.
