Multiplatinum alt-rock band AFI have announced an October 22nd release for their highly anticipated new album Burials. The news follows on the heels of the album's first track, ''I Hope You Suffer'', which was posted to the bands official site.

Rolling Stone described ''I Hope You Suffer'' as an ''epic'' song, ''layering [lead vocalist Davey] Havok's anguished cries within a lightning storm of
distortion, synthetic orchestrations, and volcanic percussion.''

AFI will be performing and previewing new songs from Burials during their upcoming North American tour, which kicks off September 12th in Minneapolis.

Burials is AFI's ninth full-length studio album and first for Republic Records. The Cali-based band recorded the album with producer Gil Norton (Pixies,
Patti Smith, Foo Fighters) at East West Studios in Los Angeles. The record was mixed by Andrew Scheps (Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers). In other news, a remix of the first single ''17 Crimes'' will serve as the end title track to the film, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

Since the release of 1995's debut album Answer That and Stay Fashionable, AFI have written and recorded five top ten hit singles (''Miss Murder,
''Medicate'', ''Love Like Winter'', ''Silver and Gold'', ''Girl's Not Grey''), hit No. 1 on The Billboard 200 (with the stunning Decemberunderground), garnered critical acclaim and amassed a fiercely loyal international following whose members number in the millions."    10/22/13    22.98    $18.59

Record Grading

Mint (M): New condition.

Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect, a record with no obvious signs of wear, a perfect sleeve with no more than the most minor defects and signs of slight handling.

Very Good Plus (VG+): A very good plus record will show signs that it was played, but was taken good care of by the previous owner. Record surface may show slight signs of wear or minor scuffs that do not affect play. Picture sleeves may have slight wear, lightly turned up corners.

Very Good (VG): A very good record will show groove wear and may have a few vinyl imperfections which will affect the sound. Picture sleeves will show slightly more wear with perhaps a frayed top edge, ring wear or seam breakdown.

Good (G) / Good Plus (G+): A good record will show significant wear and /or scratches, but will play through without skipping. It will have considerable surface noise. Picture sleeves may have seam splits @ bottom & spines, tape, writing, ring wear, stickers and other defects that will start to overwhelm the item. A good or good plus item is usually acquired to fill a hole in a collection until a better copy comes along.
