CHECK OUT THE SONG LIST BELOW TO SEE THE INCREDIBLE COLLECTION OF ROCKIN' TUNES! THIS LP WILL REALLY GET YOUR FEET TAPPIN' AND YOUR HEAD BOPPIN'
VISUALLY, THE THICK VINYL PLATTER IS IN INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL CONDITION!
I HAVE EXAMINED THIS UNDER BRIGHT LIGHT AND SEE THAT THE THICK RARE PLATTER HAS RETAINED ALL OF IT'S DEEP ORIGINAL LUSTER. PLENTY OF SHINE HERE! I DO NOT SEE ANY SCRATCHES OR HAIRLINES, JUST A FEW EXTREMELY LIGHT SLEEVE SCUFFS/MARKS! THE VINYL APPEARS TO ALMOST BE IN UN-PLAYED CONDITION! I GRADE THE VINYL AS NRMT!
THE LABELS ARE FREE OF ANY WRITING OR STICKERS, AND NRMT AS WELL!
OVERALL I GRADE THE VINYL AS NRMT!
THE COVER PRESENTS EXCEPTIONALLY WELL! THERE IS NO SPLITTING, WRITING, TAPE OR STICKERS ANYWHERE. THE SEAMS ARE STRONG & TIGHT WITH SOME WEAR AT THE CORNERS. THE SPINE IS VERY STRONG, TIGHT AND PERFECTLY READABLE WITH LIGHT WEAR AT THE CORNERS. THERE IS VERY MINOR EVIDENCE OF RING/SHELF WEAR TO FRONT SIDE AND NOTHING TO THE REVERSE! THERE IS A SCRAPE IN THE BROWN ROAD THAT RUNS FROM THE FENCE POST THROUGH THE LETTER O IN SOXX. IT IS VERY FINE AND NOT DISTRACTING IN ANYWAY. THERE APPEARS TO BE SOME MINOR TOUCH-UP TO THE 2 BLACK CORNERS. THEY ARE LIGHTLY DINGED.THE REVERSE SIDE IS STUNNINGLY CLEAN! THE LINER NOTES ARE INFORMATIVE TOTALLY & PERFECTLY READABLE. THERE IS A MINOR SLICK TEAR TOWARD THE UPPER LEFT BORDER. VERY SMALL...I ALMOST MISSED IT.
THERE ARE SOME VERY MINOR STAINS/DINGS/SCRAPES/SCUFFS & SOILING AS SHOWN.
BASED ON THE ABOVE IMPERFECTIONS THE COVER GRADES NRMT- (MINUS)!
I HAVE PLAY GRADED THIS AND THE LISTENING EXPERIENCE WAS OUTSTANDING!!! I SUPPOSE IF YOU REALLY LOOKED FOR IT YOU COULD FIND SOME EXTREMELY MINOR NOISE. OCCASIONALLY NOTICEABLE MOSTLY IN THE QUITE PASSAGES. (INHERENT TO THE PRESSING NOT FROM ANY MARKS!) BUT CERTAINLY NOTHING DISTRACTING IN EVEN THE SLIGHTEST WAY! YOU REALLY HAVE TO BE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO NOTICE ANYTHING. THIS BABY PLAYS LOUD & PROUD!
THERE WERE NO SKIPS, STICKS OR DISTRACTING POPS, HISSES, CLICKS,TICKS OR BURPS! THE LISTENING EXPERIENCE GRADES NRMT TO MINT!!
CONSIDERING ALL OF THE ABOVE I GIVE THIS LP AN OVERALL GRADE OF NRMT. YOU WOULD BE VERY HARD PRESS TO FIND A NICER COPY!
Bob
B. Soxx & the Blue Jeans
was an early 1960s vocal group produced by Phil
Spector, and was initially conceived as a
vehicle for the lead vocals of Bobby Sheen, who
took the stage name Bob B. Soxx. The Blue Jeans
were backing vocalists Darlene Love and Fanita
James, both of whom were also members of the
then girl group The
Blossoms.
Despite
Sheen's status as group leader, by the time the
trio entered the recording studio, Spector was
often using Love as the group's primary
vocalist. Sheen sang lead on the group's first
hit, 1962's "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" (originally from
the 1946 Disney movie, Song of the South). Love,
meanwhile, handled the lead vocals on Bob B.
Soxx & the Blue Jeans' two follow-up
singles, 1963's "Why Do Lovers Break Each
Other's Hearts?" and "Not Too Young to Get
Married".
Sheen
and Love shared vocal duties on the only album
the group ever recorded, Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah
(1963).
Sheen
can be heard as lead vocalist on the group's
final recordings, "The Bells of St. Mary's" and
"Here Comes Santa Claus", two tracks on the
Spector-produced album, A Christmas Gift for You
from Phil Spector (1963), on which Love also
appears as a solo artist. On the cover of this
album, a group portrait shows Sheen with two
Blue Jeans vocalists, who have been identified
as James and yet another Blossoms member, Gloria
Jones.
After
1963 the group was dropped by Philles Records
and effectively ceased to exist. Sheen went back
to using his real name, recorded some tracks for
Capitol Records in the mid 1960s, and later
joined a touring version of The Coasters, which
featured original bass singer Bobby Nunn.Sheen
had previously been a member of The Robins,
joining in 1957. Love recorded a few solo hits,
but, more memorably, was the lead vocalist on at
least two hit records by The Crystals. It is
also established that Sheen, Love and Wright
were the voices on The Crystals' hit, "He's a
Rebel".
"Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah"
is a song from the Disney 1946 live action and
animated movie Song of the South, sung by James
Baskett. With music by Allie Wrubel and lyrics
by Ray Gilbert, "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" won the
Academy Award for Best Original Song. It was the
second in a long line of Disney songs to win
this award, after "When You Wish upon a Star"
from
Pinocchio.
For
many years the song was part of an opening theme
medley for the Wonderful World of Disney
television program and it has often been used in
other TV and video productions by the studio. It
is one of many popular songs that features a
bluebird ("Mr. Bluebird on my shoulder"),
epitomized by the "Bluebird of Happiness," as a
symbol of
cheer.
1. ZIP-A-DEE-DOO-DAH
2. WHY DO LOVERS BREAK EACH OTHERS HEART?
3. LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL
4. MY HEART BEAT A LITTLE BIT FASTER
5. JIMMY BABY
6. BABY ( I LOVE YOU )
SIDE II

WE USE GOLDMINE AS GUIDELINE FOR OUR GRADING SYSTEM.
ALL RECORDS ARE VISUALLY INSPECTED UNDER BRIGHT LIGHT. I TRY TO PLAY GRADE WHEN POSSIBLE OR AT LEAST IN ANY AREAS IDENTIFIED AS QUESTIONABLE FROM THE VISUAL INSPECTION.
MINT
Mint records are in most cases sealed in original shrink wrap. The only wear permissible is to the shrink wrap itself.
NEAR-MINT
NM records have glossy vinyl. There are no visible defects such as writing, tape, or stickers on the labels. The labels should not contain any spindle marks (from someone blindly trying to put the record on the turntable) The vinyl may have a few extremely fine hairline scratches or light scuffs that do not affect the sound quality. The vinyl will "appear" to have been unplayed (It may very well have been played and well-cared for) The album cover will have NO writing, tape, creases, folds, seam splits ,stains, ring wear or Promo holes or cuts!
VG+ (EXCELLENT)
VG+ records have glossy vinyl. Slight signs of wear, including light scuffs, very light scratches or slight warping that does not seriously affect the listening experience is permissible. Very slight intermittent background noise mostly in the quiet passages is acceptable.
The album cover will have no more than three of the following imperfections: light writing such as initials or name in one area, minor creasing, seam splits not larger than 1". Neatly taped seams of 2" or less. It may also contain very slight ring wear or discoloration, a promo stamp, punch hole or cut-out as originally sold.
VG
VG Records have more obvious flaws such as more pronounced scratches & lack of gloss. Groove wear and scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail are common. When played there will be surface noise but it should not continuously overpower the music. There are NO skips permissible with no more than 1.5 grahams of tracking force. It is common to hear crackling and pops especially in the quiet passages. The labels may contain writing such as a persons name or initials or it may contain a piece of tape or sticker with or without writing. The cover may have some seam splits, writing, tape, stickers, ring wear and scuffs.
VG-
VG- All of the defects listed VG category would be more pronounced. The record will play through without skipping WITH NORMAL tracking force. A quick skip or two with no more that 2.5 grahams of tracking force are permissible. The record will have many obvious flaws but still enjoyable to listen to. Generally if the record is rare, it is still highly collectible.
G/G+
Good (G), Good Plus (G+) Good does not mean Bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping WITH NORMAL tracking force. A quick skip or two with no more that 2.5 grahams of tracking force are permissible. It will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear (on a styrene record, the groove will be starting to turn white). A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.
