isnw_ecpJohn English III and the Lemondrops on a promotional Moonglow 45 (1966) entitled Just Don't Complain / Moanin'.  The 45 RPM record shows full gloss, with a clean playing surface. Clean radio station copy. Only a few promo pressings of this release have ever turned up.

Legendary garage band only released  two 45's under his own name (and three with the Preachers). His first release on Sabra is also extremely rare, and highly regarded by aficiandos of this genre. The Garage Hangover website writes : "The Preachers returned to the studio and recorded two more songs, “Moanin'” (originally written by Bobby Timmons for Art Blakey, with lyrics by Jon Hendricks) and another English-Garza collaboration, “Just Don’t Complain”. A nihilist look at nuclear war, the music is full of tension, English’s vocals are snide and his lyrics unforgiving: the best advice he can give is “you got to maintain”.

There is a complete audio stream of at least one side of each record on the listing page. Occasionally the audio stream "times out" overseas, limiting the sound, to a brief "clip". If this happens, please email or message me, and I will try to make a correction. Here is my grading system:

NM- = record appears mostly new and uplayed

VG++ = record looks great, may be a few light paper scuffs, plays like new.

VG+ = fairly nice copy, may be a few light marks, occasional tick or pop, but mostly clean sound.

VG = wear, scuffing, light scratches, ticks and pops, but a very playable copy.

VG- many scuffs or groove wear, plays with some noise, but still listenable.

G+ = a playable copy but very very worn, plays with lots of noise

G through G- = wall hanger
