ROLLING STONES
SOME GIRLS (original version)

It was June of '78 when this, the new Rolling Stones album 'Some Girls' was released to an anxious public. You'd have thought that after the Beatles had spent months working on getting clearances for the peoples faces they used on Sgt. Pepper's that the Rolling Stones would have taken the trouble to clear the images for this new album.

It was a decade after Sgt. Pepper’s and the number of lawyers out to stir up some trouble hadn't declined over the years. The pictures on this album included photos of Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield, Liza Minelli, Lucille Ball, and Groucho Marx! Under threat of action they had to remake the album jacket and eliminate the troublesome paparazzi shots that were on this original release.
