Things you should know about Vinyl records Most us have seen the advert on TV where a father and son are playing the same record (dad playing digital and son play a record) they leave their rooms and meet on the landing and the father says 'Great Record and the son says 'Sounds better on Vinyl!'. The son is quite correct it does for a couple of reasons I could write a book on this subject but I will try to be brief and use bullet points and you can research them yourself.
Records transmit vibration signals to a amp through to a speaker vibrations to ear. digital signals are too clean and over overemphasized often adapted to compensate for poor cheap modern day equipment, sorry. (a real bass drum sounds 'Thud' not 'Boom') You need the best equipment you can afford that was available when the record was made. This is an important key as Recording music producers of all eras recorded music to match available high range equipment of the time. To play an early Led Zeppelin album on a usb turntable going through a digital amp and speakers is a fad (don't fall for it, get the CD), you will not get the warmth depth presence or the closest thing to the real intended sounds that were originally passed by the performing Artist of the time. In summary you need the best media rated Excellent as a minimum vinyl record etc. You need a high end turntable, a vintage or modern Valve, Pre Amp and Power Amps and big speakers and I believe you will be then privileged and will then understand why vinyls are the without doubt are the best
P.S. If you need any details like matrix numbers etc. please ask.
I will be happy to answer any questions.
