HAWKWIND IN SEARCH OF SPACE ORIGINAL 1st ISSUE (1U & 2U STAMPER CODES) VINYL LP IN GATEFOLD FOLD OUT DIE CUT SLEEVE COMPLETE WITH LOG BOOK

Sleeve Condition: EX-: front is a little rubbed, inevitable given the dead black background, one crease to the very bottom flap is the only other flaw, all other flaps on the zig-zag opening are impressively straight and flat.   The inside is bright and clean with no wear or creasing.

Log book Condition: Ex: One, very small closed tear to rear (see photo) is the only real blemish on an otherwise extremely well preserved example.  It is a very flimsy thing, the booklet and this one has survived the years without a trace of marking or previous owner?s names or writing.

Record Condition: Vg to Vg+: It looks pretty good, that is free from any kind of damage or scratches.  It has been played, there are centring marks, and the kind of light surface marking that comes from sleeve withdrawal and careless turntable use.  However, the marking is light, wispy, surface marking only and when played, the record exhibits no clicks or pops.  There is however, noticeable, though light, surface sshh on the run in grooves on each side and elsewhere in very quiet passages.  It is not excessive and though I would be happy with it had I bought it as a Vg record, it is there and bidders looking for a Near Mint example should look elsewhere.  I grade my records strictly according to The Record Collector?s Price Guide.

This is a tough find, a genuine first press complete with the log book and with a really decent sleeve.  The sleeve is notoriously difficult to obtain in this relatively unworn condition, the flaps usually being heavily worn or torn.
