THE NEW BREED
1967 Dallas garage band

Back in 1965 there was a local Dallas-area band called The Mystics. They sounded something between the Dave Clark 5 and the Raiders, and were a tambourine shakin' rockin little band that had a local hit with "Didn't We Have A Good Time."

As all bands change, so did the Mystics. By 1967 they had become the New Breed and were releasing some singles on their own In Crowd Records label. After three releases they were picked up by Fraternity Records in 1968.

This is one of those indie releases from Texas and is from 1967. The songs here are Ron’s original “Big Time” and a flip of “Summer’s Comin’.”
