Edison two-minute cylinders were frequently remade, but you won't find that information in previously published guides. This new volume shows all issued versions — even those from masters supplied by Walcutt & Leeds during 1897–1898. Listings include details for each version (such as changes in artists, accompaniments, and spoken announcements) that help to distinguish often-rare original editions from the more common later remakes.

Plating dates for brown-wax pantograph masters and early Gold Moulded masters (which provide valuable clues to the long-lost recording dates) and other details long hidden away in the Edison archives, are published here for the first time.
