On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Unicorn called "Uphill All The Way" and is an ORIGINAL UK 1971 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Transatlantic label!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPS ON THE TRANSATLANTIC LABEL - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1971 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION OVERALL - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!   OF COURSE, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST STUPIDEST COVER DESIGNS IN HISTORY WITH A LAMINATED SINGLE BOARD GATEFOLD & GLUED IN PLASTIC INNER ON THE INTERIOR.  HOWEVER, SOME BRIGHT SPARK AT TRANSATLANTIC THOUGHT A FOAM STRIP AT THE EDGE OF THE INNER WAS A GREAT IDEA - NOT CHECKING THAT IT WOULD REACT WITH THE VINYL!!!!  OF COURSE, THANKS TO THIS, IT MEANS THAT ALL 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP HAVE MULTIPLE 'REACTION LINES' FROM THE FOAM STRIP AT THE EDGE OF ONE SIDE OR BOTH SIDES OF THE RECORD!!!!  THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THIS - IS IF SOMEONE REMOVED THE RECORD FROM THE COVER THE DAY THEY BOUGHT IT, AND NEVER PUT IT BACK (WHICH IS UNLIKELY IN THE EXTREME!)!!!!  SO EVERY SINGLE 1ST PRESSING IS LIKE THIS - AND IT IS INESCAPEABLE!!!!  LUCKILY THIS 1ST PRESSING ONLY HAS THESE ON 1 SIDE ONLY CAUSING THE USUAL REVOLUTION SOUNDS IN THE FIRST COUPLE OF TRACKS.  THAT SAID, AS EVERY 1ST PRESSING IS LIKE THIS - THERE REALLY ISN'T MUCH YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!!  AND IT IS VERY RARE TO FIND IT ON 1 SIDE ONLY - AS MANY PEOPLE PLAYED THE LP, AND THEN REPLACED IT THE OTHERWAY AROUND - MEANING IT WAS ON BOTH SIDES!!!!  BUT APART FROM THIS UNAVOIDABLE DETAIL, THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS TRANSATLANTIC LABEL, 1ST PRESS 'IN-BUILT' PLASTIC INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD LAMINATED COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Transatlantic UK 1st Pressing from 1971 and is in SUPERB condition (apart from the detail above)!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is TRA 238 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Transatlantic label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in absolutely AWESOME condition (apart from detail which is on every 1st Pressing - and clearly mentioned above)!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, 2 or 3 foam strip reaction lines on 1 side (as detailed above), and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!!  It plays with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, the usual brief sounds from the 'foam reaction marks' on the first couple of tracks on 1 side, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must grade MINT(Minus) - WITHOUT the reaction marks, though as every 1st Pressing has these, you can decide how much it affects the grading!!!!  SUPERB RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'in-built' Plastic inner sleeve (which is the plastic inner inside the cover!) - which is still PERFECTLY attached and UNSPLIT!!!!  I would also VERY strongly advise against EVER using this plastic inner again (as it is VERY fragile!) - and so I have supplied a plain white inner for the record & a plastic sleeve to keep the cover & record together!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press Gatefold Cover is in absolutely BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), NO splits, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO rips, NO tears, VERY shiny laminate, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the unlaminated inside is in BRILLIANT condition with NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, a PERFECTLY attached plastic inner sleeve, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must MEGA STRICTLY grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  BRILLIANT COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
