MARV HERZOG records 5 lot Bavarian vinyl Oktoberfest 1970s Schnitzelbank polka


This is a set of five (5) previously-owned, full-length 12” “Marv Herzog” records (33 1/3 rpm) manufactured independently by Sound Records in the 1960s or ‘70s. The records show minimal wear and come in the original sleeves.

Born in Frankenmuth, Michigan, Marv Herzog formed a polka band in 1955 after he was released from the service. He played functions and festivals in the Frankenmuth area, then helped create the first Bavarian Festival in 1960 (in Frankenmuth). It became one of the major annual festivals in the country, and Marv's band is the only one to have been featured every year. He released his first record. "Marv Herzog at the Bavarian Festival" in 1965 and released a new LP every year since.
