I just listened to two cuts of this LP because I noticed slight smudges or streaks (not sure what to call them) on the vinyl, and the vinyl sounded perfect, like new. Now, in fact, I'm not sure I want to part with this; the record is darling. It doesn't matter how old you are, "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial" is emotionally stirring. … I received this box set from the record company in 1982 when I was reviewing records for a newspaper. I don't recall listening to it, but I don't want to say I never did, although it looks as if I didn't. Many of the records I received during that time I stored away without ever playing. … In any event, this box set has been stored upright ever since. The cover shows some storage wear (visible in photos). The set includes everything that arrived with it -- poster, booklet and even an invitation to join the E.T. Fan Club. I believe that today, so I could take pictures, was the first time they'd been taken out of the box. This is a rare promo version. … Please check my other listings for more vintage record albums.
