Although this choreopoem/theatre piece has retained its popularity and is readily available in print, few people are aware that the original 1976 Broadway production (nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play) issued a cast recording.
The piece is a series of 20 separate poems about the lives of oppressed women in a racist, sexist society. Subject matter includes rape, abortion, and domestic violence.
Vinyl LP, some wear to the cover. Record itself is Near Mint.
