Here is a 10 inch metal acetate.

One side starts with the song "Listen to what the Man Said". It is the full song. Maybe a different version/take than the single of it, that was released in 1975. I don;t know. I am not educated about these things. The other track on this same side is a partial, b-side of that single, as was officially released, called "Love in Song" by Paul Mccartney and Wings. The track fades away after about 1 min. & 17 seconds.

The other side of this disc has a song by an unknown artist. The song is unknown also and appears to have flute in the backing music.

Runs for about 4:10 total. After this track, comes another track that I would describe as a "reprise" that is the last 1:50 of that unknown track. Must have been important enough to someone at the time, that they purposefully layed it down twice on the same side. Opening lyrics incl "when Sharon called her a slut"

This is shocking and unusual, in my opinion. I don;t know of any song that had that word in the lyrics from before 1975 unless maybe old blues tracks from the 1920's or something like that.

Research: I have tried to find out who this is and nobody has replied on social media incl. PM and Capitol.

One suggestion I got from a contact was that it may be Henry McCullough but his widow said no. And another suggestion was that it could be Denny Laine but Denny said it's not him and he's never heard it before!  I phoned MPL and the receptionist in NY office did not have a clue what I was talking about or wanted to know. One suggestion is that this track was a rejected b-side for the single.

Condition: Disc has 2-3 light marks on each side. Very nice overall. A few very tiny areas to the edge where the laquer has chipped away, revealing the metal underneath. No other chipping to disc at all.

Housed in generic white sleeve.

Approx. start times for tracks:

00:00  - LTWTMSaid

04:00 - partial: Love in song

05:26 - Unknown/unreleased track

09:36 - partial: Unknown/unreleased track

Do you know who this is, on vocals?

If nobody bids, I might release the unknown track on vinyl in a small run. It's a wonderful example of

top-level songwriting skill, from the mid 70's when people actually had that skill and with lovely melody and generally quite memorable.
