13. Master Of Mind Info: The Karl Runau Osmose LP is today very rare and changes hands in good condition, complete with original extras (the four postcards!), for monstrous sums of money. In reply to the many requests from those who would like to enhance their Galakthorrö collection at an affordable price, here is the repressing of catalogue number 004 from the year 1994. A sound document from the earliest days of Galakthorrö. Stylistically, Osmose is still Power Electronics/Industrial, later Karl Runau evolved towards less rabid tones. The record reflects the enthusiasm of that time, when a youthful subculture, after the impressions of Wave and Goth in the 80s, discovered Industrial Music for themselves, and celebrated the intensity of this direction, also in musical terms. This can still be felt on Osmose. The aesthetic is raw, wild, and resembled live recordings. Uninhibited screaming, the synths pulsing and throbbing, feedback screeching, and when the clean (digital) recordings of today irritate, here you can taste the pleasure of the sound of finest 4-track cassette recording. The new edition was in need of new mastering, which in particular harmonises the tracks with one another. However the lo-fi aesthetic has been totally maintained. The artwork has been adjusted to suit our actual design guideline, and fits beautifully into the series of other Galakthorrö releases.
Recommended listening: Especially the emotional, angst poppy, less brutal Wet Dream became a hit at relevant parties.
