DISC GRADING

Grading is based on “Goldmine” standards and is guaranteed

NM (NEAR MINT): Appears virtually unplayed, with no spindle marks or other visible signs of use. No writing, stickers, or other markings on labels.

E (EXCELLENT): Approaching Near Mint. Full original gloss with just light but inaudible signs of use. No groove wear, scratches, audible scuffs, or label wear or markings.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS):  Still a fine glossy copy, but with slight traces of groove wear throughout. May have a few faintly audible lights scratches or scuffs, slight surface noise, etc. Still an enjoyable, listenable copy, with just a touch of noise.

VG (VERY GOOD):  An obviously well-used copy, with readily visible but moderate groove wear throughout. May have some audible scratches or scuffs, and light surface noise that does not overpower the music overall.

G (GOOD):  But not really. Heavily worn, with audible scratches and scuffs. Will play through without skipping, but surface noise will be significant. Labels may be worn, marked, or damaged. Filler copy at best.

COVER AND LINER GRADING:

NM: As new. Bright and clean with no marks, fading, or staining. Free of all creases, ring wear, shelf wear, and seam splits of any kind.

EX: Still fine, with no marks, fading, staining or seam splits. May have some very light scuffing and/or barely noticeable traces of ring and edge wear.

VG+: Still bright and clean, well cared-for but obviously handled. May have more pronounced ring and edge wear, minor edge bumps or chipping, light scuffing, and/or light creasing. No seam splits unless noted. Still shows well overall.

VG: Very noticeable scuffing, ring wear, and edge wear. May have small seams splits, edge bumps, creases, markings, fading, or other defects that detract significantly from overall appearance.

G: Badly worn, faded, split and/or otherwise undesirable.
