Free at Last is the fifth studio album by Free. It was recorded between January and March 1972, and released in May that year. After breaking up in April 1971 due to differences between singer Paul Rodgers and bassist Andy Fraser, the band had reformed in January 1972.

The last 'proper' Free album (as Andy Fraser would quit for good soon after) ends, prophetically, with Goodbye and it would be easy to think this was Rodgers saying farewell to Koss. Despite Kossoff's personal turmoil and long-running friction between Fraser and Rodgers, this is one of Free's best albums – they are all great in their own ways!
