Complete & original 1st UK Mono press of The Beatles - The Beatles ‘White Album’ double LP from November, 1968. Earliest version labels without “An EMI Recording” on ANY label as per 1st presses. This is an incredibly low numbered sleeve No. 0009196 complete with all original parts/inserts.
Serial number: PMC 7067/8
Matrix number: XEX 709-1 / XEX 710-1 / XEX 711-1 / XEX 712-1
Stampers: 3 HH / 1 HR / 1 RD / 3 RR
Condition: Lovely condition. Both discs are glossy and clean with only light signs of play, EXCELLENT! All four sides play through without issue with that full, punchy first-press audio. Obviously no skips, sticks, loud obtrusive pops or repeat clicks which is quite a feat over an extended double LP. Quiet tracks or tracks with quiet parts like ‘Dear Prudence’, ‘Martha’, ‘Mother Nature’s Son’, or ‘Blackbird’ which are the litmus test for the white album all play without issue, EXCELLENT! The very low-numbered 4-digit sleeve is in great condition, glossy & clean creamy white front with low number printed clearly in the lower right corner. The embossed eponymous title "The Beatles" is sharp and clean. No stains or ring wear front, back or centre. The bottom left corner has some clear scuff marks to consider. The spine is fully readable with the usual laminate flaking. The back has some corner wear visible and inside the gatefold there is a faint indentation of names of the fab four below each photo, EXCELLENT-! This set is still complete with both original black inners without splits EXCELLENT! All four photos like-new MINT-! Original rare spacer so often discarded is included. Large fold out lyrics poster with no tears, pen, stains, tape or pin marks, EXCELLENT+! Very nice condition overall and on a remarkably low sleeve, No. 9196!
