This is an ORIGINAL PRESSING of the 1965 Mercury SR 61204 that Goldmine values at $40. You won't often run into an ORIGINAL copy of this record in this condition, vinyl and sleeve---both a solid VG+ (I grade conservatively). You'll even find the original liner with song lyrics, slightly creased on one corner but without rips or tears anywhere (see photos). This original recording is NOT the 1968 reissue; it's NOT the 1978 reissue; it's NOT the 1983 reissue. IT IS the ORIGINAL 1965 recording, containing the two tracks that two of the reissues do NOT contain: "I Don't Wanna Be a Loser," written by Ben Raleigh and Mark Barkan, and "All of My Life," penned by Helen Miller and Tony Powers---both tracks, excellent. I've seen copies of all of these reissues selling for as much as or more than I'm listing this original copy for. Whether you're already a true-blue fan of Miss Gore or just discovering her, you'll thoroughly enjoy this Quincy Jones-produced album that showcases all her early monster chart hits. Lesley Gore was an absolute phenomenon in the mid-sixties and even into the seventies. And she was still drawing crowds at performances into the 80s, 90s, and on into the new millennium  (I enjoyed a marvelous performance in the mid-aughts myself)---on up to her untimely passing in 2015. Do yourself a favor with this excellent copy of an excellent record, made by a marvelous performer who is missed. Note: I'm just beginning to liquidate my 60-year collection of vinyl LPs and 45s, sheet music, and lots of other goodies.  Stuff from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s. Pop, rock, jazz, vocals, big band, psychedelic, easy listening, one-hit wonders, instrumental, blues, metal, bubblegum, soundtracks, comedy, rarities . . . lots of good stuff. It breaks my heart to part with this collection after all these years, but my heartbreak is your good fortune. Watch for lots of great stuff to come.
