The Rolling Stones

Up for grabs here is a very unique and special item. 

This is the sleeve to the very first Rolling Stones EP dating back to 1964 but in its development stage. The main picture shown in the images section is a comparison from what the stock copy looks like compared to this very unique and special development copy. The original stock copy is not included, it's just being used for comparison, you are bidding on the unique development copy only.

Not sure how this got out the factory although someone may have taken it home to work on it further and it just never made it back into the factory/design room. The colour used for "The Rolling Stones" text is a lighter tone used than in the final stock copy.

It's the earliest variant of the sleeve possible which was printed at West Brothers Printers, Mitcham, Surrey, not the later MacNeil Press. The flip-back tabs are a clear indicator on which printers were used. Decca had pressing plants based in South London so it was only logical to use local printers. 

 No vinyl record is included, it's just the sleeve you are bidding on. This item would look amazing framed up against the stock copy.

 No major rips or splits but has edge/corner wear. Some ring wear and age toning.
